Terms of Use
The ground rules for using Hannah's Plants, in plain language.
Last updated September 26, 2026
By using Hannah's Plants you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
What the site is
Hannah's Plants is a free tool for planning gardens: drawing beds, choosing plants, keeping track of what's planted, and getting a care calendar. It is in early preview, so features may change, move or go away.
Gardening information is general guidance
Plant spacing, hardiness zones, sowing and harvest timing, companion-planting notes, watering and care reminders are general guidance and won't fit every yard, climate or season. Check them against your seed packets, your local conditions and your local extension service. Some plants are toxic to people or pets, and some are invasive in some regions. Please look up any plant you're unsure about before growing or eating it.
Herb and plant reference information
Some pages describe the traditional and commonly cited uses of herbs, including medicinal uses. This is general reference information from traditional and published sources. It is not medical advice, and it is not a recommendation to eat, drink or apply any plant. Don't use it to diagnose or treat a condition. Herbs can cause allergic reactions and interact with medicines, and some plants are toxic. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before using any herb medicinally, especially if you are pregnant or nursing, take medicines or have a health condition. You use this information at your own risk.
Your account and your content
- You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for the information you enter.
- Your gardens and plans belong to you. You give us permission to store them and show them back to you, which is what the site does.
- If you share a garden, you are letting the people you invite view and edit it, and you're responsible for who you give the code to. Anyone with access can change or add to the garden. Only its creator can delete it, and deleting it removes it for everyone.
- Please don't upload anything unlawful or anything you don't have the right to use, and don't try to break, overload or gain unauthorized access to the site or to other people's data.
Keep your own backup
Without an account, your gardens live only in your browser and are lost if you clear your browser data. Even with an account, we can't promise the site will always be available or that nothing will ever be lost. Please keep your own copy of anything important, for example by printing your plans.
No warranty and limits on liability
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, Hannah's Plants is not liable for losses, including lost data, failed crops or damaged plants, that come from using or not being able to use the site.
Ending your use
You can stop using the site at any time, and you can delete your data or your whole account yourself from the Account page (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend access to anyone who misuses the site.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site means you accept the current version.
